Previously we have reviewed a number of tourist destinations in the state of New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania, and South Australia. This time we will review tourist destinations in Western Australia, the largest state in Australia. Here are the three most popular tourist destinations in there:

Broome

Broome is a small town that has a blend of colonial cultures of Australia and Asia, which is located in the Kimberley region. The white sandy beach adorned with coconut trees, the scent of the Indian Ocean, fragrant frangipani flowers, and unique architecture characterizes this city.

This pearl producer in the city there is the tomb of the diving Japanese national who worked there in the 18th century. The diver was killed in the line of work they harvest clams and pearls from the waters around Broome. To commemorate the day, Shinju Matsuri cultural festival was organized every year.
Cable beach, about 7 km from Broome town center, is a very charming beach. Water crystal clear sea surrounding greenery, white sand along the 22.5 km, as well as spectacular views of the sunset can be enjoyed by the tourists while riding a camel around. While on the beach Town, in the eastern corner of Broome, travelers can witness spectacular views of the so-called "Staircase to the Moon", in which the moon looks very big on tidal current and its reflection on the sea surface as if forming a ladder to reach the moon. In addition, tourists can also see fossils of plants and soles of the feet of dinosaurs about 130 million years old in Gantheaurne Point when sea water is in the low tide conditions.

Summer is the most appropriate time to visit Broome. Picnics and water sports are the most frequently performed activities tourists there.

Pinnacles Desert

Pinnacles Desert is one of many Australian landscape pride. In this place stood thousands of limestone pillars above the yellow sand that is made naturally. Included in the area Nambung National Park, this place is located about 245 km from Perth, the capital of Western Australia.

There is some conjecture as to the origin of the formation of the Pinnacles. Some say that the pillars as high as 5 meters is formed from a collection of shells that were completely destroyed and blown off; others say that the tree roots are buried in the sand which then generates aeolianite sand, and wind erosion of sand formed into pillars aeolianite.
Pinnacles known to exist in the 1960s, which was then included as part of the National Park Nambung. The most beautiful scenery in this place can be enjoyed in the morning and late afternoon, when the sunlight produces exceptional color and shadow of the pillars with amazing formations. Kangaroos also met there a lot, especially at dawn and dusk.

Each year, the Pinnacles desert around 150,000 foreign tourists visited the state. The best time to visit this place is spring (August to October).

Fremantle WA

Approximately 20 minutes drive to drive from Perth city center, is a port city that is energetic and rich in culture. Fremantle, the name of the city, located just at the mouth of the Swan River. The city must be visited by those who love history as an example of a port city with the best in the world streetscape.
As a port city, it is not surprising that Fremantle has a maritime museum. However, Western Australian Maritime Museum is a museum that is not unusual. The building is very modern and uniquely designed. The shape of the curve, aluminum alloy panels and pieces of wood, similar to the technique of making a traditional boat. 34-meter-high building is capable of giving a feeling to any visitors as if they were enjoying the rhythm of up and down waves of the sea. To maximize its uniqueness, end of the building is intentionally designed to be above sea level. The museum is exhibiting a number of handmade sailboats, recreational boats, fishing boats up pearls.

One other popular buildings in Fremantle is a Fremantle prison. The building is made of limestone, overlooking the city and back to the Indian Ocean. The prison complex consists of a main cell block, kitchen, home washing, showers, workshops, hospitals and refractory cells. Prison relic of the 18th century which operated for almost 140 years now the monuments and museums whose collections include approximately 5,000 artifacts, furniture and films, as well as more than 2,000 photos. Fremantle Prison is the first building in Western Australia are listed in the list of world heritage sites.

If not visit historic buildings or museums, tourists in Fremantle WA can enjoy the atmosphere of the city at a sidewalk cafe or shop for local handicrafts such as souvenirs, home furnishings, and jewelry.
