Phi Phi Islands

Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep

For over a thousand years of Doi Suthep mountain regarded as sacred place by the native inhabitants, the Lua tribe. They believed that the souls of their ancestors settled on the mountain top. When Buddhism entered the land of Siam, the mountain is regarded as the center of the universe.

Doi Inthanon National Park

This is the highest mountain in Thailand, located in the province of Chiang Mai. Formerly known as Doi Luang or Doi Ang Ka, but later renamed in honor of Doi Inthanon, Chiang Mai last king, Inthawichayanon are so concerned about the preservation of the forest there.

Region since 1954 is protected as a national park is part of the Thanon Thong Chai mountain. The extent of about 482 km2, with a height of about 2,565 m above sea level. Tribal Museum (Tribal Museum)

Built in 1965 by the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare of Thailand, the museum is highly recommended for tourists who are interested in getting to know the culture and the indigenous tribes in Thailand.
Located not far from Chiang Mai National Museum, Tribal Museum presents detailed information about the various tribes living in the hills of northern Thailand that culture and language different from the language of the Tai, the national language of the country of the white elephant. Major tribes there is Akha, Karen, Lahu, Lisu, Yao and Hmong. Among all 6 parts, only Yao tribe who have a written language. Each tribe also has distinctive features in terms of religion.
